Struggling With The Second Piece

The second piece I've been working on as been nothing but problems for me, but here it is now finished.

power ties 2 sm.jpg I really don't know why work sometimes comes so easily and other times it's just one big chore.  This piece is so similar to the first yet almost nothing about it came as easy as the first one.  Even trying to photograph it was a real pain..

Speaking of photographs, I've finally have decided on a Camera.  I've decided on an Olympus EVOLT E-500 .  This decision came after days of reading technical specs and visiting stores.  It's the best deal for the money and will do everything I need it too.

I think the next few projects I do are going to be on a smaller scale.

Why is that Howard? That sometimes you can whip out a piece with almost no effort and then another similar image can take months and never feel exactly right? A huge mystery to me.

Anyway, the piece, for all your struggling, has turned out beautifully, as usual.

Oh, and the camera looks like an excellent deal! I'm sure you will absolutely love it and wonder how you ever lived without it.

Hey Howard - i tried commenting last week, but your site was giving me troubles! Anyhoo - I like this piece as well. Now the figures appear to be wearing neckties and suit coats. Before they looked more like aliens doing an autopsy. I would love to see these big pieces in real life!

Oh and by the way - the camera looks great too! The versatility of an SLR with the perks of a digital. I bought a 7.0 megapixel digi camera last fall - but still take backup photos of my work with my old Nikon 35 mm SLR. That's how much I trust digital! The biggest plus for me is the instant gratification, and the ease of sharing the photos on the Web.

I have no idea why some work comes off easy and other times not so easy. If I work on it long enough eventualy something will click. It's much more satisfying when something finalley comes together after a lot of work though.

Jackie, yeah that's the idea. I think I got the suits better on the second piece.

Yes I'm excited about the camera. Now that I've made my choice I want it right now. I've been thinking about wipping out the credit card, but that would be wrong, so very, very wrong.

Actually my boss is down in Phoenix all this week and is going to see if he can find me a better price.
