Never Seen One of These Before

OsyterCatcher.jpg          I did a google search for " Black sea bird with long red beak"  and up popped, Black Oystercatcher.  There were three or four of them hanging around near English Bay the other day.  I'm no birder so I have no idea how common they are around here or whether they are just passing through.  I'm pretty sure I've never  seen one before.

When I said I was suffering from a bad case of the winter blahs this year I wasn't kidding.  At the moment everything seems like such a huge effort.   I feel like I could sleep for a month.  I'm not sure why this year is worse than previous years.  It might be the long spell of wet, cold weather we have been experiencing here.  I just seems to go on and on.

Trying to get any work done when I'm in this sort of mood seems next to impossible.  Pairing that up with the lull after a solo show isn't helping matters.  I'm stuck in one of those "what do I do next" ruts.

I do have a mini project on the go, but I'm not sure how successful it's going to be.  I should have something to show around the end of the month, and I do have some ideas for new major projects.  I just don't have the resources at hand to begin.  Hopefully I'll be able to start over the next couple of months.

I find I'm suffering from the same thing and that it's been entirely self-inflicted. For months I have been scuttling from the house to the car, to the office and back, never looking up. One 20 minute walk out under the weak winter sun did Wonders. Just one walk. Think I'll go for more to prove it.

A little bit of sun around here would certainly help.
the last few weeks have been very gray. The next few day are suppose to be clear and bright. I hope it helps.

This must be contagious. Though the weather has been chilly here on Cape Cod, it has been a delightful winter. However, I find myself completely unmotivated to work. Despite some interesting projects, I am compelled to nest and enjoy the solitude of my own company. Many of my clients seem to be stuck in a similar phase of hibernation.
