Just a Couple of Things....

I was saddened to hear the news that the online arts magazine, Visual
Codec is closing up shop after only one year. The Vancouver arts
scene is in desperate need of this kind of online publication.  With all
artistic activity happening in this city one has to wonder why there is
not more  critical writing taking place.  When I see sites like Port out
of Portland I get a little envious and wonder why that sort of thing isn’t
happening here.  

Anyway, here’s a quick  reminder that the release party for the winter
issue of One Cool Word is tomorrow night at the Lamplighter. If
nothing else, we can all take comfort in our vibrant music scene.
