I'm In The Head to Head Round of Saatchi's Showdown

Well, this is a bit of a surprise.  I entered on a lark and somehow I managed to make it past the first round and have moved up to the Head to Head.  So here's a shameless plug to get visitors to my site to go vote for my work to help me move to the final stage.  You can vote for my work HERE if you like.

Fernanda Levine, Under Construction

 This show looks interesting,

"Fernanda Levine’s Under Construction is a collection of paintings, photo base and three dimensional work. Paintings that focus on how a city builds its own identity and impacts its citizens while doing so. Using symbols and materials as diverse as graphics, prints and scale machinery, the artist comments on the force that is capable of achieving a construction site."

The show is running at The Back Gallery Project located behind the Monte Clark Gallery on Granville.  The show runs from Oct. 30th till Nov. 7th.

New Work, " Primetime "

Here's the latest in my new series of work.  Some of the finer details are lost in the image but the towers in the background are mountains of old TV's.

 

Sneak Peak

The last few days have been a whirlwind of activity as I have a ton of things to deal with before the show opening on Thursday.  The show was hung last night and looks great.  So here's a sneak peak
